A Spring Family Session in 2014

I shot this year's first family session in cherry blossom period. It wasn't easy when the kid could run very fast in every direction. After shooting this family session, I needed to take a long rest before shooting another session in the afternoon.

Vancouver's cherry blossom period is close to the end. Now, I'm getting use to run with my cameras and flashes every week. I will be off from photo shoot near the end of May and wait for my baby's arrival.

Mystical Styled Shoot

In most people's concept, styled shoot was always in a nice vintage reception hall and everything looked very clean and bright. Our good friend CC Roa suggested an interesting idea about having a "mystical" styled shoot in the woods. It wasn't an easy task for the whole team. TT Films and we had to carry all our equipment up to the hill. Lots of flying bugs "attacked" our models: Devon and Shawn. Devon couldn't move with the gown once she put on it because it might be broken by tree branches. She had to take on and off when we moved to another spots. The ground was quite wet after a two rainy days. CC fell down during decoration set-up but not seriously injured, fortunately. Shawn's body paint should make him very uncomfortable but he kept telling us he was okay. What a professional model (and a cool guy)! Thank you thank you! In the late afternoon, light went away very fast in the woods. We tried to shoot fast and accurately.

Generally speaking, it wasn't a "Walk in the park" assignment.

Without the team effort, this Mystical Styled Shoot would never happen. Great job, everyone!

Here is the Behind The Scene video shot by Tony & Tim from TT Films.

We shot some behind the scene photos too!

Devon had to put on the gown in a new spot and waited

It was how we kept the wings attached. Thanks, Jamie.

Jessie's Maternity Photo @Week 31

April is a very busy month. Before the crazy photo shoot schedule comes to me, I took some photos for Jessie. From our experience, she may not as slim as now in the coming weeks. It's the right time to take this photo. We had to wait until Ethan went to bed and then I set up the lights... moved the things around in the living room. When we got the right shot, it was about 12:30am. After that, I put everything back in place. Not an easy job for sure.
