After series of wedding shoots, Jessie and I took a break to Europe. We went to a lot of places and we enjoyed it a lot. Our first stop was Amsterdam and then Brussels, Cologne, Heidelberg, Lucerne, Venice, Florence, Rome, Vatican, Pisa, Monte Carlo, Nice, Paris, and London. We brought back about 100 GB video and photo files. It will be a time consuming job to sort them into folders.
The best part of the trip was visiting museums in France. The drawings from many years ago gave us a lot of inspiration. Actually, we are still using their concept of posing and lighting nowadays. We were lucky to have the local museum guide, Fung, to explain the details of the art works. Fung used to work for France navy force. After his retirement, he became a museum guide.
We had awesome meals in Europe. The appetizer of our french dinner at Paris was huge. We barely finished all dishes. A piece of pizza in Italy was 3 Euro but it was well made. I had my birthday celebration in Rome but the birthday cake was very sweet (Unforgettable).
The only thing I don't like is most of the places in Europe charged 20 to 50 cents for using their public washrooms. In Venice, the fee is 1 Euro (CAD$1.60). That's crazy.
We finally had a quiet and romantic night at the roof-top pub of a Lucerne's hotel. I'm so happy that we had this break before October's wedding shoots.

Evelyn + Kevin Slideshow
Evelyn & Kevin's slideshow was made for their Hong Kong banquet. Therefore, I had to get it done sooner.
We spent 3 days in Kamloops during the Labour Day weekend. On the way back, we visited Hell's Gate. I wanted to visit this place for 10 years but I never had a chance to go.
I don't expect we will have internet access in Europe. So, see all of you after 2 weeks!

Hell's Gate
This thing is for slowing down the water current. It helps salmons to swim back to the top.
