Ruby + Sam Engagement Session

It was a fun afternoon with Ruby & Sam. We climbed up to a small hill with long grasses. Sam and I ended up being mosquitoes' late lunch. My arms are still itchy after 4 days (I had my mosquito spray before that). I had no idea why Ruby and Jessie were totally ignored by insects.

Ruby was a bit shy at first, but she got into the "mood" after a few shots. Sam was very good at making Ruby laugh. Even if he was not doing anything, as long as Ruby looked at him, she laughed. Looking at their sweet smiles, you can tell how much they love each other.

We can't wait to shoot their wedding next year!

Betty + Alex Post-Wedding Photo Session

It was a hot day yesterday, and we took a post-wedding session for a HOT couple Alex and Betty. During our consultation, they told us that they wanted something cool and different. So we decided to do this session in an industrial site. It was an interesting location with a lot of good elements for photos.

We also had some photos taken in Downtown as Betty wanted to have a shot in the middle of Robson Street. We did a similar shot at the same spot 3 years ago, but this time we used different lighting and setting to achieve another effect. It turned out pretty nice.

Crystal + Andy Engagement Session @ Vancouver China Town

After series of boiling hot photo shoots, we had a cooler work day with Crystal and Andy. It was very smooth to shoot with this sweet couple. The original location was Grouse Mountain but Crystal suggested to go to the beautiful Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden at Vancouver's China Town area. I was a bit surprised when I knew that. I thought only Chinese clients like to have photo shoots at that garden. The day's challenge was a lot of tourists walking around. However, we had a lot of good shots, and we love the mix of culture theme in this session.

We look forward to capturing their wedding day next month!
