We almost missed this awesome wedding because of a minor problem. We consider ourselves lucky to have Victoria and Adam to be our clients. Their trust and love are priceless to us. When I told Victoria that we were going to shoot inside Skytrains, I expected her reaction: "Are you serious?". However, her answer was, "Don't make me too excited". At that point, I knew we had a right couple.
Again, thanks Victoria and Adam!

Canon 5D Mark II & NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED
After series of wedding shoots, we had a break in the weekend. Thanks to Brian (our associate photographer) organized the BBQ event. At the same time, I wanted to stay away from my work cameras. Therefore, I pulled out my ancient Canon Powershot G5 to play a bit. Although it's super slow, I like its 35mm f/2.0 aperture. It makes me feel like using 35mm @ f/2.8~3.5 on 5D.
If you follow my blog, you should expect our friend, Chadwick, to bring something interesting with him. Yes, he did it again. I expected to see his Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED on 5D Mark II (or 1Ds Mark III) for a long time. If Jessie and I were on Nikon's side, I'm pretty sure we would have that lens in our bags. For the price, it's a deal. However, the lost of auto focus on Canon cameras is a problem to our fast pace assignments.
Some grooms asked me about the matter about Nikon vs Canon. My answer is "We don't really care". Two brands made great tools for getting good images. I don't mind using D700 or D3 to work.

Naomi & Brett Wedding - 07.11.2009
Naomi booked us right after her brother's (Terry) wedding. She came to me and said, "Raymond, you have to take pictures in my wedding next year!". Terry's wedding was an unforgettable experience (especially for Brian and me). My car was trapped by the snow near Terry's father home twice. Brian and I spent almost an hour to get the car out. We were totally exhausted before the ceremony. This time, Naomi and Brett's wedding was hosted at a private garden of Aldergrove. Naomi called it "Garden of Eden". It means the beginning of everything. Temperature around the area was about 30 degree under the sun. The garden has peacocks and other big birds walking around.

Gail + Eric @ Hycroft - 07.04.2009
Hot hot day! Gail & Eric's wedding was a hot day with strong UV index. My arms were burnt... I think we broke our record for shooting a lot of indoor photos within one hour (that was all we had). After that, we rushed again in Granville Island. Moreover, we had a nice dinner treat from Gail and Eric before the actual banquet. Thanks!
