Kaylie's Family Session

It was always fun to shoot photo session with couples/families visiting Vancouver. This time, we almost missed the chance to capture Kaylie's family moment in Vancouver. The booking was supposed to be around Christmas time. However, Kaylie fell and hurt her back one day before the photo shoot. As everyone knew, Vancouver's famous unstable weather was a real problem to reschedule any outdoor photo session in Winter. We were very very lucky this time. Right before they returned to Hong Kong, we had a nice sunny day (but it was very cold). Thanks God!

Family Session @Steveston

Other than shooting weddings in this Summer, we had some family sessions done under the beautiful sky. Steveston was the best location for family with elders and young kids because of the short walking distance and chairs were everywhere. Another reason of my choice was for the Hong Kong family visiting the museums after the session.

Diana's Newborn Baby Session

Right after Diana's baby arrived, Raymond returned to shoot the the newborn session. It was always fun to shoot maternity session and then maternity session. Without baby/kids, you can't see/feel time as an adult. When we looked at the old photos and the new photos of the families, we found it very interesting.

Manel + Jon's Family Session

Manel & Jon's super cute baby was very tiny on their wedding day. After a few months, he grew much bigger now. I suggested to take a few family photos for them when I delivered their wedding photos. It was a great thing to photograph different stages of the couples that we worked with.

Wendy + Nathan's Maternity Session

We really like shooting maternity session with the couples that we served before. It reminded us the fun path that we walked in our career. At the same time, we felt time moved very fast in the past 10 years when we saw the updates in numerous couples' Facebook accounts. We are honored to be there at our clients' important stage of life to capture important photos. It's good to be wedding photographers, we think.

A Group Family Photo Session

It was an interesting photo session with 5 families together. The toughest thing was getting the kids to the spot because they were very excited to play with each other.

Capturing family photos is quite different from taking wedding photos. Photos have to show the bonding and the happiness of the family. Family photos are important to everyone. I would suggest people to take once in 2 years at least.

Mai + Don Maternity & Family Session

This post was written in the morning of the first snowy day of Vancouver. We missed Summer a lot on bad weather days in Winter. Mai and Don's second cute daughter arrived already. Raymond photographed this session in the hot Summer at White Rock sea side. From their engagement session, we photographed almost every big family events. The photos on our editing screens were all full of life and happiness. We just fall in love with this family.

We returned to shoot Katrina's little brother's 3 months and 6 months sessions. This time, we shot this session with a picnic theme in Summer. It wasn't easy when we needed to get both kids looking at the camera. Next session will be in December. Can't wait!
