Kaylie's Family Session

It was always fun to shoot photo session with couples/families visiting Vancouver. This time, we almost missed the chance to capture Kaylie's family moment in Vancouver. The booking was supposed to be around Christmas time. However, Kaylie fell and hurt her back one day before the photo shoot. As everyone knew, Vancouver's famous unstable weather was a real problem to reschedule any outdoor photo session in Winter. We were very very lucky this time. Right before they returned to Hong Kong, we had a nice sunny day (but it was very cold). Thanks God!

Jenny + Alex Wedding @Pan Pacific Hotel

Jenny & Alex's wedding was a close and warm one with a reception of family members. We were very lucky to have a dry morning at family photo session. Right after we planned to go to Stanley Park, It rained heavily. Our solution was taking photos under the lighthouse. Then we spent some time taking photos at Pan Pacific Hotel. This time we didn't get any equipment malfunctioned until pouring rain. Actually, the most deadly weather was having wet snow during the photo session. Most of the time, it must have problem.

About equipment, the recent Sony A7 III was really attractive. With the larger battery and other up-to-date features, we think it should be a better tool over Canon's 5D IV. We will wait and see for a while before doing this upgrade. Stay tuned!

Sneak Peek of Wendy + Nathan's Pre-Wedding Session

Weather of Vancouver is getting better and better recently. It gave us less pressure on Pre-Wedding/Engagement shoots. In this season, we had no rescheduled session until now (It's a very good news). Delayed sessions affected the photo delivery before couples' weddings. It was the main pressure that we faced about the same time every year. We hope all the sessions will be smooth this year!

Shalu + Rajat Engagement Session

We wish you a Merry Merry Christmas!

Every year, we must have a few Christmas period photo shoots. Shalu & Rajat's engagement session was the coldest one :-) but... we got snow in city! Because of the snow, there were not many visitors in Stanley Park. We could clearly capture more Christmas lights with the couple without including other visitors. We are also very excited to shoot their wedding in the coming year!

Next year, we may see a lot of new cameras such as Sony A9 and new OM-D. Canon hasn't introduced something excited for a long time (a year already?). I hope a faster 5D Mark 4 will be here for us.
